Avos and Mango Coffee Shop - Brunch restaurant in Hanoi

The food here is delicious and beautifully presented, but the impersonal touch of having to scan a QR code to order, really let this place down, hence my review scores. Bing back the personal touch and my rating will be 100%.

So far the best brunch place I've tried here in Hanoi. Incredibly good and filling, the menu is diverse and you can build your own breakfast. (Try the berry smoothie trust)

Their menu is so insane, you’d have to come back 3-4 times to try everything that looks good. We got the mango coffee, brown smoothie bowl, berry croissant, and pancakes. It can be a little pricey if you go all out but wow it was delicious.

The restaurant offers a relatively airy atmosphere, though the indoor seating can feel somewhat dark and confined; outdoor seating is generally preferable. ​Recommended dishes include the toast, croissants, and soufflés. The matcha soufflé is well-executed, featuring a distinct matcha cream filling and a dusting of matcha powder that creates a balanced flavor. In contrast, the accompanying green tea KitKat is quite sweet and can overshadow the soufflé’s subtle notes; it is best consumed last or omitted if you prefer less sugar. The traditional vanilla soufflé occasionally has an egg scent, which may not appeal to everyone. ​The croissants are standard, and the scrambled eggs are a highlight—easy to eat and well-paired with tomatoes, sweet mango, nuts, and slightly tart feta cheese. The avocado sauce is skillfully prepared and enhances the overall dish, making it a reliable choice for both adults and children. ​Regarding the toast, the bread is relatively firm. The vegetarian option includes mushrooms, though they have a somewhat bitter and strong aroma. The standard toast includes bacon. In general, the most notable components remain mango and avocado as in the restaurant's name.

Good breakfast spot, wish we had found this sooner whilst staying in the neighbourhood! My boyfriend doesn’t eat a lot of bread, finds it hard to find places with ‘build your own breakfast’ without having to have bread involved. Safe to say, he was happy with this place! And I enjoyed my coconut matcha :)
