Its tasty, its nice and its cheap. What else do you need bro? If you dont mind seating on a plastic chair under the suffocating Hanoi's heat, this is the place. The Bun cha's meat is tender and tasty, and they serve it with a mountain of noodles and herbs. The spring rolls are a must too.

Bun Cha 22, Hanoi Old Quarter A quick heads-up before anything else: make sure you find the right spot. There are several bun cha places clustered in this part of the Old Quarter, so double-check you're heading to number 22 specifically. Another great back-alley find. I was seated at one of those tiny plastic tables with an equally tiny stool, right next to a fellow solo traveler, and we ended up swapping Hanoi stories over lunch, one of those unplanned, genuinely fun moments that make solo travel worth it. The kitchen and the seating both line the same wall, a setup that says a lot about the resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit you see all over Vietnam. I got there early, around 11:30, right as things were just ramping up. By the time I left, the place was packed, a solid mix of locals and tourists all waiting for a seat to open up. One local tip worth passing along: bun cha is traditionally a lunch dish. If you find a place serving it at night, it's worth being a little skeptical about freshness. Terrific food and fantastic local ambiance.

Located in a small Alley not so far from Hoàn Kiếm pod. Bún chả Hanoi is a must try dish and they do this very good here. The meat is fresh and they grill it perfectly. No quick process by coocking the meatball in advance like many places do. They grill it slowly to provide maximum taste. Strongly recommended to try this place.

This is hands down the best thing I’ve eaten during my entire Vietnam vacation. The Bun Cha was absolutely delicious—the broth was amazing, and the combination of fish sauce, grilled pork, and meat patties was incredible. I’ll definitely keep coming back for this dish. Vietnam, you’ve won me over with this one

Hands down the best bun cha and local dining experience in Hanoi. The bun cha is delicious, with well balanced broth and well grilled meats and meatballs, and the fried spring rolls are mind blowingly delicious. Plus it’s the quintessential street food, sitting on plastic stools - experience. Highly recommended, look no further, this is IT.
