Me and my Bff decided to celebrate her Birthday by go to try Indian food and we stomp on this Restaurant on Tik Tok, although the road is fixing on that day but we still manage to get there. The experience is so Worth it 🙂↕️the staff there is so nice and fast, I'm surprise that almost half of them is Indian and they can also speak Vietnamese too 🥰 We order the must try Pani Puri, it was awesome, like a new flavorful trip, so fresh and fun too eat. Also a bow of Paneer green soup, this one is so confusing at first because we didn't know what Paneer is, debate for awhile between somekind of dense tofu or yogurt, then an Indian staff came asking about the food and explain it for us, it's a kind of Cheese 🧀 😮 surprise surprise. We also order the mixing 2 sauce flavor chicken and of course the Naan too. The chicken is quite nice, pretty soft, but we prefer the sauces more, it has strong flavor like curry, we dip the Naan into the sauce to enhance the delicious flavor of the pie, the Naan is crunchy and fun to eat. But because we only have 2 person so luckily we finished all of the meal so full😋 and we also been gifted 2 India ice cream by the staff to celebrate my Bff birthday too 🍧🥰😍 so nice 👌the ice cream taste like ginger and maybe a bit cinnamon too, quite sweet for us but we very appreciate that and finish everything 🍽️ This is a really nice restaurant, we notice there's so much Indian tourist and even other country came to try the food too, so maybe if yall want to try, have a reservation first to be sure, we don't have to wait though because maybe we have only 2 people 😂

Namaste Hanoi - Indian restaurant in Hanoi
이 장소에 대해
On Tho Nhuom Street just south of Hoan Kiem Lake, Namaste Hanoi occupies a position that few Indian restaurants in the city can claim: over 5,200 Google reviews and a 4.5-star average that holds across a substantial sample. That kind of rating density signals a place that handles consistency well, not just occasional brilliance.
The restaurant operates at the intersection of Indian and Indian Muslim cuisine — a distinction that matters in Hanoi, where halal fine dining options are limited. The Indian Muslim angle broadens the menu's range, incorporating dishes rooted in the culinary traditions of South and Southeast Asian Muslim communities alongside the subcontinental staples most diners expect.
The fine dining designation sets it apart from the cluster of casual Indian spots that have appeared around the Old Quarter. The setting and service are calibrated toward longer meals — the kind suited to business dinners or evenings when the occasion calls for something more composed than a quick curry. It draws a mix of expats, tourists with prior knowledge of Indian food, and Hanoians looking for something beyond Vietnamese or East Asian options.
Hoan Kiem has no shortage of restaurants competing for the attention of visitors staying near the lake, but the combination of halal certification, a fine dining format, and a review count that dwarfs most competitors gives Namaste Hanoi a specific niche. For travelers or residents who prioritize halal food without wanting to compromise on atmosphere or service standards, the options at this address level are narrow — which helps explain the sustained volume of reviews over time.

Very authentic Indian food. The staff is very knowledgeable and gave us good recommendations. We enjoyed our food and will go again if we have time. I highly recommend this place for delicious Indian food.
Since the early time of the World civilisation , spices have been the most trading ingredients across the countries, the continents…. Spices are at the origin of the elaborated cuisine of the world and also sometimes spices was used for bringing values for the evolution of the human health. Tonight after having a lot of western food and Vietnamese food….. I was in lack of spices and definitely this famous Indian restaurant in Hanoi is bringing me my evening needs…. I took this Indian Rasam Pepper soup… wow what a combination of spices from Tamarind, black pepper, mustard seeds, tomatoes etc…so intense that it will often making you cry…. However you will stop the burn by having a plain lassy which is like a plain liquid yogurt. So so so great. After I took a Mutton Biryani which is of course elaborated from flavored (saffron) Basmati rice and marinated mutton soft meat with in addition some curry spiced sauce. You enjoy this Indian biryani with Raita salad which is a crunchy cucumber and raw onions mixed in yogurt. And as I am looking for spices I add a kebab with grounded Mutton and marinated with Nutmeg sauce….. this is served on the hot plate…. So so so good. Namaste is always fulfilling my needs of good food. The restaurant is fully packed…. This is showing that it is a food destination.
Yesterday was my birthday and I invited my family and friends to have a dinner at Namaste Hanoi. I was pleased with the service here, the staffs here are so friendly, the food was extremely yummy 😋 and the atmosphere is cozy. I ordered: Tandoori chicken, creamy mushroom soup, chicken Tikka Masala, Biryani, Gulab Jamun, Nan, Dal and Lassi. After finishing the meal we celebrated my birthday and there are 2 staff has joined us, to me this is a memorable experience I ever had. One day I will come back to this restaurant 😁, I wanted to say thanks to staffs who are so friendly yesterday: Pankaj, Joyal, Lokesh and Ashish
"If you are looking for authentic Indian flavors in Vietnam, Namaste Restaurant is a must-visit! We had the Chole Kulche and Dosa, and both were absolutely spot on—tasting just like home. The Mango Lassi was freshly made, thick, and delicious. A special shout-out to [ Ashish and Lokesh ], who were incredibly friendly and professional. It was a huge plus that they are fluent in Hindi and English, making communication seamless and the atmosphere very welcoming. Great food, great service, and great vibes. Highly recommended!" ❤️
