Ta Hien Beer Street is the energetic, iconic epicenter of Hanoi’s nightlife, nestled right in the heart of the Old Quarter. Known locally as Phố Tạ Hiện, this famous stretch transforms every evening into an open-air gathering where locals, expats, and travelers sit side-by-side on tiny plastic stools spilling into the narrow streets. Unapologetically vibrant, noisy, and chaotic in the best way possible. Neon lights, music blasting from surrounding bars, and the lively hum of crowd conversation create a high-energy street party atmosphere.

If you want to enjoy a beer and some music, dance, this is the best place with live music and chilled beer! Best to visit around 6pm and stay until midnight! First of all, take a full walk around the street and choose a restaurant to settle in! Order some beer and snacks.

Another iconic Hanoi sight to add to see. Located in the old quarter and very close to markets and shopping it's a great place to sit down and take a break. Best time is 7pm when things get going. It can be a bit noisy in some of the bars but you will find somewhere that works for you.

Beer Street (Tạ Hiện) in Hanoi is an absolute must for anyone who loves vibrant nightlife! 🍻 We spent a marvelous evening here and the energy was contagious—bright lights, packed sidewalks, music, laughter, and people from all over the world sharing tables on low stools. We tried the local bia hơi (fresh draft beer) which costs less than ₱30 a glass—light, crisp, and so easy to drink. Honestly, it reminded me of Philippine beer in the way it brings people together over good conversation and pulutan-style eats. The street food here pairs perfectly with the beer, adding to the whole experience. Our Lady server was very friendly and charming too. Coaxed us to drink more. With some success. It can get chaotic, but that’s part of its charm. Tourists and locals mix freely, and the atmosphere feels like one big street party. For Filipinos traveling to Hanoi, this is definitely the place to experience authentic Vietnamese nightlife. Highly recommended! 🇻🇳🇵🇭…
