Beer Xin Chao - Bar in Hanoi

Great host and amazing atmosphere for expats.

My partner, I really enjoyed this place. Amazing food, beers, darts, and pool tables. The staff were friendly but seemed a bit disinterested. We ordered beef bao, spicy chicken, and goose salad. The goose was unbelievable 😳 so delicious I could have eaten two! Great music 🎶 indoor and outdoor seating. Well, def be back again!

DONT EVER GO HERE. I would love to speak to the owner or management of this establishment because I have never left a bad review in my life but this felt necessary. I have been in Southeast Asia for about a month and have had nothing but the best experiences with the customer service and people here I genuinely think they are the sweetest. On another note I was just so taken back by the service I received from the bartender tonight. She was sitting in the corner not even behind the bar scrolling on her phone when we walked in and throughout the whole time we were there, when I asked her for a drink I asked her what one of the cocktails the popular “ps I love you” was since it had no description and she said “it’s a cocktail” rolling her eyes and trying to walk away, I ask her if she likes it and she says I don’t drink looking at me with the rudest face so then I order a classic one I get all the time a mojito. I watch her make it which looked like it was the biggest bother, we pay and she storms back over to her corner to scroll. I try it and make my boyfriend try it who would never complain and we both agree it’s the worst drink we’ve ever had, it tastes like actual sink water. I’ve never even sent a drink back in my life but i give it right back and ask her if she could make me a regular vodka soda and she continues to tell me I shouldn’t order a drink if I don’t even like the taste of a mojito so she makes it and then charges me for a whole nother drink since she “made the first one correctly and it isn’t her fault”. I came to have one drink somewhere after dinner and at this point it had just been a terrible experience all together and so we pay anyway no questions asked and try to enjoy it but it honestly ruined our whole night and I’m still upset or I wouldn’t even be writing this.
