Risu - Bar in Hanoi

A hidden gem in Hanoi ! This spot came in highly recommended by a friend, and I’m so glad she did tell me about it because I’d have never known of its existence! It’s on the second floor right next to the coffee shop, there’s a staircase leading up to it. It has a speakeasy vibe to it making it perfect to escape the craziness of Old Quarter (or Hanoi more generally 🤣) and perfect for a date (though I came in solo and it was perfectly appropriate!) The cocktails are truly creative, the work of mixologists so a twist from your usual cocktails! I wantes the Hishimochi Mizuwari (pandan) but they were running out so I went for the Melon Shochu Sour, super delicious and can barely taste the alcohol! The bartenders are lovely and incredibly professional! Overall make sure you had it to your list for a pre-dinner drink or nightcap!

Extremely beautiful, delicious. Do yourself a huge favour and come here. Inside is like deep Tokyo, outside is quintessentially Hà Nội. Gentle, lovely means business cocktails.

Very cosy and comfortable speakeasy in a prime location. Classy and different from the havoc that is Old Quarter. Excellent cocktails - exotic ingredients mixed with good balanced. Not too sweet as well which suits my palate. Friendly and knowledgeable bartender, Hung. Look him up when you're there next time.

Chillest new rising bar you can find in Hanoi. I'm totally in love with their calm and relaxing vibe. All the cocktails I tried were good.

Risu Bar is a total hidden gem. After a busy day navigating Hanoi, stepping in here felt like entering a different world. The atmosphere is great. The service was impeccable—attentive, polite, and very professional. No loud music, just great drinks and a relaxing vibe. If you appreciate serious cocktail crafting and excellent hospitality, this is the place to go.
