Cocoon House West Lake - Serviced apartment in Hanoi

We had a wonderful stay at Cocoon House West Lake during our time in Hanoi and stayed for around 10 days as a family. For a longer stay like ours, the place worked extremely well and quickly started to feel like a comfortable home base rather than just temporary accommodation. The location around West Lake was one of the highlights for us. It offers a much calmer and more relaxed atmosphere compared with the busiest parts of central Hanoi, while still making it easy to reach the Old Quarter, restaurants, cafés, shops and the main attractions of the city. After long and busy days exploring Hanoi, it was always nice to return to the quieter West Lake area. The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable, well maintained and very suitable for a family stay. Having enough space becomes especially important when staying for more than just a few nights, and during our approximately 10-day visit we felt very comfortable. Everything was practical and thoughtfully arranged, which made our daily routine much easier. We also really appreciated the overall atmosphere of Cocoon House. It felt peaceful, private and welcoming. Hanoi can be an incredibly energetic city, so having a quiet place where the whole family could relax at the end of the day made a big difference to our experience. Another important point for us was the hospitality and communication. We always felt welcomed and well taken care of. Whenever assistance or information was needed, communication was easy and friendly. For families travelling internationally, especially during a longer stay, knowing that there are helpful people available when needed gives you an additional sense of comfort. The West Lake neighbourhood itself also became one of our favourite parts of Hanoi. There are many excellent cafés, restaurants and everyday services nearby, making the area particularly convenient if you are staying for a week or longer rather than simply visiting Hanoi for one or two nights. Looking back at our stay, Cocoon House West Lake was an excellent choice for our family. It gave us a comfortable and peaceful base from which we could discover Hanoi while still enjoying a more local and relaxed side of the city. We would definitely recommend Cocoon House West Lake, particularly to families, couples or travellers planning a longer stay in Hanoi and looking for somewhere comfortable, quiet and conveniently located. Cocoon House was the perfect choice for our group. Having three full bedrooms made our stay so comfortable, as everyone had their own space to relax. The living area is spacious and bright, making it a great spot for us to gather in the mornings. You can tell the hosts put a lot of heart into the apartment; from the quality of the linens to the overall cleanliness, everything was top-notch. The location is excellent—tucked away enough to be quiet for a good night's sleep, but still very accessible. We would definitely stay here again

We booked Cocoon House top floor apartment initially for 4 days and then extended for further 10 as we genuinely loved it so much. The apartment is modern, spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully designed. It’s bright and airy. Lot of windows = lot of light. The kitchen and bathroom both feel premium, the AC works perfectly and the huge balcony overlooking the lake is such a nice spot to relax in the mornings or evenings. The quality of the building facilities were a huge surprise especially the excellent gym which is super clean and well maintained and quiet workspace area on the 1st floor. Everything feels very well maintained and comfortable for both short and longer stays. Highly recommend a long stay here as the host has combined luxury with comfort factor extremely well. The location is also fantastic. Close to cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, while still feeling peaceful and relaxed. The nearby west lake area is beautiful for walks and sunsets. What truly made the stay special though was the people. The host and family were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout, and both the security guard Dung and the housekeeping staff were genuinely lovely. This is one of those places that feels easy to settle into very quickly. We would happily stay again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi.

I stayed in the top-floor apartment and, in my many years in Vietnam, I have rarely experienced a place this consistently clean—truly on par with 5-star hotels. Cong is exceptionally service-minded and ensured a very pleasant stay. There was minimal noise from the surroundings (quite rare in Vietnam), and the small fitness room is surprisingly well-equipped. Highly recommended—I hope to return.
