We reached at 10.30am today at the restaurant it was open but was informed chef hasn’t come till now and after few minutes he arrived n we ordered bread omelette we were informed after 5 min that bread omelette is not available a basic breakfast is not available then what’s the point of opening a restaurant in the morning time! Then we went to Gujrat Restaurant which opens up at 8am n finally we were able to have breakfast.. which was good with quick service..
India Gate, Hanoi is average restaurant which serves Indian food. We had been here many times as it’s next to our hotel in Hanoi. Last week we had been there two times and first time we ordered Matar Paneer which was served in yellow kadi type gravy with a note of mild sweeter taste in spite of our order spicy. Second time we ordered chana masala and pulav which were decent. Overall they need to improve food quality & service. Main important point is this that food is not value for money. There are many much better restaurants nearby in old qtr which are better priced and take is also excellent. I hope next time when we visit this restaurant they will improve based on my suggestions.
We visited India Gate Restaurant every single day during our 4-day stay in Hanoi, which says a lot about how much we enjoyed it. The food was always fresh, delicious, and full of authentic Indian flavors. The Indian owner and staff were very polite, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel at home every time we visited. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and professionally run. We also appreciated their honesty and excellent customer service. If you are missing India in Hanoi for Indian food then come here food will directly go to your heart from your tummy, amazing service owner is interacting on her own, Must try ahra bhara kawav , paneer tikka , masala , garlic naan , biryani khaate khaate pet bhar jayega pur man nahi bharta. All of the food are must try. It tastes better than Indian food in ‘India’. In the country of beef and pork, there’s Indian food. The best Indian food in Hanoi or whole Vietnam. Unrated. Well what can I say- but after eaten too much Vietnamese food around Hanoi we decided to to do Indian and bumped into this wonderful Indian Restaurant. I am aware of other reviews but tonight I found no fault but good friendly service and good honest freshly cooked Indian food- both North and South . Flavours were great and not heavily salted either . Photos below will tell the story I forgot to say Mamta the manager was a perfect host and Rahul from Udaipur a delight when serving our delicious food
