Nagocha is a quaint little place set in a quiet street near West Lake with beautiful views. It wasn’t too crowded when we went- Sunday, 3 pm- which gave us a breezy time there. We sat in traditional Japanese seating style- but they do have high chairs too. The menu is Matcha- specific so don’t expect regular coffees and snacks. That being said, the staff was helpful for first timers like me. There are two floors to choose from, and the washrooms were very clean and fresh. Coming to the food and drinks, we ordered a creamy, nutty latte matcha blend- the menu helps you choose your style. We also ordered some creamy matcha icecream and the regular mochi. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the mochi, the other two were really good and definitely fresh and exceptional natural quality. Spent a good hour here and went back relaxed and happy.

Authentic matcha shop with matcha from Japan. The cafe reminded me of Kyoto so much and the drinks were amazing. Had Hojicha, yuzu matcha, matcha and genmatcha. Also ordered basque cheesecake and mochi . All tasted perfect and presentation of drinks were nice. The place is quite clean and quiet.

I visited Nagocha and had the Ranko matcha with soy milk. The taste was very balanced and smooth really enjoyable. The selection of ceremonial matcha is not very large (I think around three or four options), as the menu focuses more on matcha drinks and desserts. However, the matcha itself was high quality. The cafe is very cozy and beautifully designed. It has two floors and a wonderful view of the river, which makes the atmosphere calm and relaxing. Even has elevator, so keep in mind if you need it. Special thanks for barefoot zones ❤️ Overall, I really liked this place. It’s a pleasant and peaceful spot to sit and enjoy a good ceremonial matcha. Possibly one of the best places in Hanoi to have ceremonial matcha.
