Chie Café - Cafe in Hanoi

Still searching for the coffee. The "egg coffee" consists mainly of egg foam—she whipped up a whole egg. I could barely find the coffee in it. I had been looking forward to a cozy morning at the café. She assumed I wanted it to take away—why? no idea. So, the whipped egg mixture came in a plastic cup with a plastic spoon and a plastic straw. You definitely need the spoon because theres no liquid inside. A bizarre Vietnamese experience. I told her. She apologized, admitting it was her mistake but saying it was my tough luck. More and more plastic garbage. It’s avoidable! Better to choose the café next door. Unless you like a 50000 egg foam in plastic. Then it’s your place.

It’s ok. Not sure how it has 5 stars. They basically just have coffee and espresso and then non coffee items.

Great egg coffee. First one in vietnam. Enjoyed the taste! Might be sweet for some.

I've tried egg coffee at many places in Hanoi. Simply put, this was the best I've had and it wasn't expensive. The owner is really friendly too and their location is great. Their salted coffee is really nice, too. Expect to pay 45,000 VND for each. There's a Starbucks across the street and I have no idea why anyone would bother going there. Vietnamese robusta coffee beans are twice as strong and Starbucks charges far more for very basic drinks.

The Egg coffee is delicious. Also the shakes are very good
