Anna and Sarah are the best! Great watermelon juice. You can charge your phone, located conveniently near the tables. The restaurant is upstairs and you have to go up the elevator. It has a good view too.

ORIANA VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT and VEGETARIAN - Country food restaurant in Hanoi
이 장소에 대해
On Lò Sũ street, a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, Oriana Vietnamese Restaurant and Vegetarian has accumulated one of the highest review counts in the Old Quarter — over 6,400 Google ratings averaging 4.9 stars — a figure that reflects sustained quality rather than a single viral moment. The kitchen spans two distinct camps: traditional country-style Vietnamese cooking and a parallel vegetarian menu, making it one of the few spots in Hoàn Kiếm that handles both without compromise. That dual identity draws a mixed crowd: locals grabbing a familiar weekday lunch, visiting families navigating the Old Quarter, and vegetarians who often struggle to find dedicated options in a neighborhood dominated by bún chả and phở bò stalls. The setting is straightforward — this is a place where the food does the work rather than the interior. Lò Sũ is a quieter residential lane off the main tourist drag, which gives the restaurant a neighbourhood feel unusual for central Hoàn Kiếm. Against nearby competition that often caters primarily to foreign visitors, Oriana's review base and rating suggest a clientele that returns regularly and knows exactly what it's ordering. The vegetarian side of the menu is a genuine draw rather than an afterthought, positioning it differently from the majority of Vietnamese restaurants in this district where meat-free options are limited to a few token substitutions.

We came here for our first meal in Hanoi and it was very good! Our family has two vegetarians and two omnivores, so it was very nice to have many options for everyone. There were vegetarian versions of regional specialties, and that was especially fun. Luca was our server and he was so helpful and kind. He showed us how our selected meals were meant to be eaten, which was so helpful. He made us feel like welcome guests in Vietnam and we really appreciated it! I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially for visitors and groups with vegetarians.
We just had a great Vietnamese meal at Ariana. Wonderful fresh products and great tast. The service we got from Luca was great, very friendly. Go there for a great meal!!
Our first dinner in Hanoi and it didn't disappoint! Food was really good and the young staff was really friendly and willing to explain foods and show how to prepare and eat them. We will definitely come back! Thank you especially to Jenny for having us!
Visited Oriana Restaurant in Hanoi, which is located very close to our hotel. The restaurant itself is inside a building — you take the elevator to the 7th floor and then walk up the stairs to the 8th. There is a menu displayed downstairs, so you can check it out before going up, which is convenient. The menu includes vegetarian options. We tried tofu with herbs and vegetables, which you wrap in rice paper yourself, and also pork with lemongrass — same style, DIY wraps. Both dishes were tasty and fresh. We also ordered a pumpkin soup — it was good, but quite sweet (they tend to add sugar to many dishes here, something to keep in mind). The mushroom soup had a more unusual texture, slightly thick and gelatinous, likely due to starch. Green tea was served in a very small teapot (really tiny 🙂) and quite strong — better to dilute it with hot water. It comes with small shot-sized cups. Overall, a decent place for a casual meal. Prices are average, food is good, and the experience is interesting if you want to try local-style dishes.
