OYO 214 Aloha Hotel - Hotel in Hanoi

This is my last night in Hanoi before flying back to my country. And it is super rare for me to leave a bad review, and I wrote this literally after stepping into my room. Arrived here at 1 PM local time, asking the guy with the tattoo on his left chest if possible to do early checkin. He said (using google translate, coz he didnt speak english) that i need to pay extra 40,000 vnd for early check in, otherwise i need to wait until 2 PM. Ok i thought they might be preparing and cleaning the room for me. Then there was young lady let me check in 30 mins earlier, thanks to her. But suddenly when I entered the room (506), i feel like i want to fast forward to tomorrow. The room is dirty, i can see the debris on the floor, even i feel sorry to my luggage for putting him down there. There was like a cigarette ash on the sanitary. The bed cover looks crumpled. The wifi is having a problem. I usually never lie down on the bed unshowered, but this time who cares? I think it is already dirty in the beginning. I think cleanliness is not something you should compromise despite being the 2 star hotel accomodation. Definitely this place is not being taken care properly. I guess the “the apologize” on the other reviews is only formality, no improvement, no real action. Even my motel in Ninh Binh is much better than this “Hotel”. Was aking the lady to move me to the non-smoking room, then she said all guest are not allowed to smoke in the room, but found out there is an ashtray on the table. 😮‍💨 Cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Do NOT book this hotel especially if you have children. The hotel was so dirty, the walls had brown marks all over them and there was mold over two of the three rooms roofs we had booked. Curtains had brown stain of goodness knows what dripping down the. There were condoms in the draws which I guess is good but not when you have small children opening the draws. The staff were OK to deal with at least they let us check out early without paying full price.I would not recommend this hotel at all. The worst I have ever stayed in.

Dont book this hotel. I normally stay at hostels and are not picky. After I waited 20 min to get my room I got a room filled with long black hair, dirty mirrors, no toilet paper. Didn’t look clean at all. But I got a full refund back and found another hotel quick.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Aloha hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff and the rooms were fresh and clean. The Old Quarter is only a 15 minute taxi away to see all of the tourists sites however we enjoyed the slower pace that this area offers.
