The food is descent. The only reason is I am comparing to Ho Chi Min Banh Mi. It is completely different. The sandwich at Mama is descent but nothing comes crazy but for Hanoi Style it is well appreciated by everyone. Good spot to visit so you can make your own mind.

the best banh mi ive tried here, i think the only one that has the bread sooooo crispy and super affordable price. i got the chicken one and its so filling, felt like i hit my protein goal in one go. also the soy milk is good and refreshing. located strategically near the cathedral and shopping area. will def come back before i leave hanoi!
A small street food stall in Hanoi’s Old Quarter that’s definitely worth a visit. You order first, receive a number, and then wait for your bánh mì. It’s a very popular spot, so expect a 10–20 minute wait, but the service is quite efficient. I ordered No. 4 with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious! There are plenty of other options on the menu as well. The crispy baguette, fresh ingredients, and flavorful filling made this one of the best bánh mì I’ve had in Hanoi. It’s absolutely worth the hype and the wait. If you’re visiting Hanoi, don’t miss this place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A tiny stand tucked into an alley, doubling as their entire kitchen and there's always a line out to the street. After trying it, I understand exactly why. This was, hands down, the best banh mi of my entire stay in Hanoi. I'd sampled a few other stalls that came highly recommended, but nothing came close once I tasted this one. I walked over from my hotel one evening, joined the queue, and waited around 20 minutes to grab a sandwich to bring back to my room. The wait was far from wasted time, though. Watching the team work was half the experience, it's a smooth, well-oiled operation, everyone moving with the kind of efficiency that only comes from doing something a thousand times over. The bread was baked-that-day fresh, and every ingredient tucked inside tasted just as vibrant. The combination of flavors was genuinely magical, that perfect balance of crunch, herbs, protein, and sauce that a great banh mi is built on. Don't let the line intimidate you. It moves, and it's absolutely worth the wait. If you're in the Old Quarter and want the best banh mi in Hanoi, this is the place.
Large sized banh mi full of toppings for a good price. Tried option 1 (banh mi thap cam) which had everything but we waited 20-25 MINUTES which was quite long considering it wasn’t too busy at that time. Banh mi was quite tasty and they toast it up so it was hot, yet bread was still crunchy on the outside. Make sure to just go up and just say your order because locals will just order in front of you if you are a tourist, and they won’t ask you for your order!! Despite us following the instructions on the menu by standing on the left side to order, several locals just ordered in front of us with the staff not acknowledging us or taking our order until we went up to her and just said our order. No seating area as well, it is for grab and go
