★☆☆☆☆ I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience really deserves honest feedback. We visited Chickita at Lotte Mall West Lake expecting a casual grilled chicken place. The restaurant itself actually looks very nice — the design and atmosphere are attractive — and to be fair, the drink we ordered was very good. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The food was the biggest issue. The chicken wings arrived visibly pink near the bone. I asked the staff to cook the meat properly, and when they brought it back it was still undercooked inside while the outside was already burnt. The fish tacos were completely drowned in sauce, extremely spicy and overloaded with herbs, to the point where you could barely taste the fish. Service made the experience worse. Staff mostly stayed on their phones and only approached the table to drop off the food. Trying to get their attention when we needed something was difficult. Another basic issue: when serving chicken wings (which you clearly eat with your hands), you would expect napkins or disposable gloves. None were offered. I had to ask for napkins and they only brought three, which is far from enough when eating messy food like wings. Finally, the price. For the quality of the food and the level of service, the restaurant feels significantly overpriced. When you pay mall-restaurant prices, you expect properly cooked food and attentive service. The place has potential because the location inside Lotte Mall West Lake is great and the space looks nice, but the kitchen execution and service standards need serious improvement. Based on this visit, unfortunately I cannot recommend it.
