We came here on the recommendation of the concierge at the InterContinental, and since the restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide, our expectations were high. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match. While we were seated, three large garbage bags were carried past our table on the way outside. One of them was in the hand of the server bringing our food, who had a plate in one hand and a bin bag in the other. This was an hour before closing. At a restaurant with this kind of reputation, I’d expect the rubbish to be taken out after service ends, not while guests are still eating. It’s a small thing, but it undercut the whole meal. Not somewhere I’d recommend.

My wife and I were walking through evening Hanoi, looking for a place for dinner. We saw at the entrance on the glass that this restaurant received a Michelin star in 2023 and again in 2024. We decided to go in purely out of curiosity — we had already been at another Michelin restaurant in Hanoi before, which was also tasty, but we wanted to see what this place was like. Wow, I’ve never tasted Pho soup like this before! It was absolutely incredible, the best Pho I’ve ever had. The presentation is stunning, and everything tastes amazing. I ordered fresh spring rolls with shrimp and two salads: Banana Flower Salad and Mango with Seafood Salad. Both salads were exceptionally delicious. The dressing on the Banana Flower Salad was out of this world, truly unforgettable. The Mango with Seafood Salad was equally incredible — fresh and perfectly balanced. I enjoyed the fresh spring rolls so much that I had two of them — they were so good I couldn’t stop eating! Everything was so delicious that we wanted to try everything on the menu. Unfortunately, we were already too full and couldn’t fit any more — there was just no room left in our stomachs! This is hands down the most delicious place I’ve eaten at in Vietnam. If you’re looking for Michelin-quality food in a charming, intimate setting, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Had fantastic dinner here. Second time in Hanoi and first time at Duong’s. While not being the cheapest meal I’ve had in Vietnam it is one of the best. The food is delicious and well presented. Perfect portion sizes and quality ingredients. Service was attentive without being intrusive and I felt good value for money considering Michelin status. I would happily return and recommend this restaurant.
