Eggyolk Coffee - Coffee shop in Hanoi

I tasted the egg hot cocoa speciality and was honestly a bit disappointed, the whipped egg yolk was absolutely divine super rich and creamy, but the cocoa was not good, not tasty and it ruined it for me personally. They also put crushed coffee beans on top of the whipped yolk which I hated getting random crunchy coffee in my hot cocoa (you could just scrape them off in the beginning but I thought they were bits of chocolate so I mixed them in...). I got the salted yolk croissant whice I enjoyed much more than the drink, it was delicately crisp on the outside and had a super airy interior, the salted egg filling was just a fancy way of saying salted custard filling which was delicious with just a hint of salt. The vibe is awesome, super retro, low-fi music playing on the background. The staff was bit cold.

Back here again, but trying the chocolate version this time 🤎 Rich, creamy and almost like drinking a melted chocolate cake with that signature egg foam on top. Shop service kinda slow and can’t speak English much. But pointing to the menu work, can’t ask for less sugar! Visited Eggyolk Cafe during our Hanoi trip and honestly really enjoyed it The egg coffee was good and super creamy, definitely worth trying if it’s your first time in Vietnam. I also liked that they give instructions on how to properly drink/mix the egg coffee since not everyone is familiar with it. Small detail, but helpful especially for tourists. The cafe itself has a cozy vibe too and feels like one of those hidden spots you randomly discover while walking around Hanoi. Food and drinks were good overall, prices were reasonable, and the staff were nice even though the place was pretty busy when we visited. We also tried the salted egg croissant. It was okay, but it was toasted a bit too much for our liking so it leaned more on the crunchy side. Only downside is the place is quite small, so you might need to wait a bit for a seat during peak hours since a lot of tourists go here. But one thing we appreciated is that they have a WC upstairs, which was really convenient especially after walking around Hanoi all day. Overall, still worth visiting if you’re in Hanoi and want to try legit egg coffee ☕

This was the first cafe I walked into after landing in Vietnam and it lowkey sadened me. My friend and I bought 2 egg coffees and returned to our seat just to find "buy 1 egg coffee and get 1 free". We immediately went back to the counter to ask about this but were told "sorry your order is already placed" :/ Aside from that, we paid 65k vnd for each coffee (which is on the pricier side) and the quantity we get is quite less. The coffee itself tasted good and it was my first time trying egg coffee. The cafe is cozy and beautiful, uniquely designed and we spent some time inside. It was nice. I just wish there was better communication while ordering, especially since the waiter spoke and understood english very well.

My first egg coffee there. Really good and highly recommend trying the cold egg coffee brew because it was really good! You also get a really nice view outside from the second floor window seats. Me and my friends ordered another takeaway after trying the three different flavours (egg hot cocoa, hot egg coffee, cold egg coffee). There’s also cute ceramic cups and bowls in there if you’re also interested in buying. They looked like they had good quality stuff and at reasonable prices too!
