We were wondering around the Old Quarter and Ho Guom lake when we found this lovely coffee spot just a few steps from the lake, and it’s such a vibe. The coffee smells amazing — rich but not too strong, super easy to drink. Perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy Vietnamese coffee without getting totally knocked out by the caffeine 😆. They’ve got seats right on the street where you can people-watch, and a second floor that catches the sunlight beautifully. The place is clean, nicely decorated, very Vietnamese in style — simple, warm, and photogenic without trying too hard. The staff are wonderful — friendly, helpful, and surprisingly fluent in several languages. They make you feel really welcome whether you’re local or just visiting. Highly recommend this one!!!

During my visit to Huong Mai Cafe in Hanoi's Old Quarter, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff. They offered me samples of their coffee and took the time to explain the details of each variety. In addition to their extensive coffee selection, the shop also offers a range of teas. The complimentary coffee tasting was a delightful experience, and I appreciated the staff's willingness to share their knowledge. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and I would recommend this shop to others.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even offered us a tasting experience. There were three of us, and they generously prepared six cups of coffee, allowing each person to sample two different testers. We politely declined the offer as it was still very early in the morning, and we hadn’t had breakfast yet. I tried their coconut coffee, and I loved its aroma—it was absolutely delicious. Plus, my stomach felt fine after drinking it, which was a big relief. What surprised me the most was that their products are already halal-certified. We ended up buying a lot of their products—couldn’t resist!😝
