Omamori Spa West Lake - Massage spa in Hanoi

My partner and I booked the office combo at their west lake location for 700k VND each. The online booking was very simple. The spa is located down a smaller alley. Immediately upon entry the atmosphere was peaceful and smelled like lilies, and we were given warm tea while we waited (very briefly) for our appointment (which we were early to). The massage was really relaxing; our masseuses were very skilled and I was very comfortable the whole time. I haven’t received a massage very many times so I was a little bit nervous, and they immediately made me feel at ease. Would definitely recommend and I hope to come again sometime soon!

Now from looking at the reviews which are all of pretty high standards l though let’s go and have a look. On arriving the place is very nice. The receptionist was super friendly, helpful and could speak English which was great. I didn’t have a booking so l was told that there were limited massage styles available probably due to them being busy which l understand. I opted for the foot massage and paid 350,000 in advance which was totally fine. Now we went upstairs to a bed which wasn’t what l was thinking as l wanted to send emails while sitting and receiving a foot massage like the last 100 I’ve received. Plus you are in a large he room with 4 or more other people with only curtains separating you all. Anyway it was a different setup and l just accepted that it may be different here. Now the massuese are partially blind. The 60min foot massage was fine, l wouldn’t say excellent as it was very repetitive and it felt like the massage therapist was having to tho k to hard about his next movement. Anyway for the price it was ok though nothing special. 3 days later l though l would try it out again with a different style being a back massage. Once again l came without a booking and was told there were only 3 styles of massages once again and she asked how l would like to pay and said by card then told me l couldn’t = ok Cash payment again. Once again we went upstairs to 3rd floor and entered another large room though this time it was so hot inside the room and immediate uncomfortable. I just accepted it though l must say it wasn’t enjoyable. I had the same guy that was going to perform the back massage and he took for ever to do anything. I honestly got 45mins of very mediocre massage. After asking 3 to We for more pressure and nothing happening l just gave up. It felt like a kitten walking on my back with its claws out. This man needs to cut his nails. I’m sorry though the nails and massages do not mix very well and it’s gross.

I had the 90-minute Zen treatment at Omamori Spa and it was absolutely amazing. My body felt wonderful afterward — deeply relaxed and refreshed. The therapists were skilled and gentle, and the whole environment was calming. My only regret is not choosing the Forever Young full package, because the experience was so good I didn’t want it to end. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back for the full program next time!

Had a relaxing massage at Omamori, which specializes in blind massage. Service was good and I enjoyed my time there. So much so that a fellow customer fell asleep and began snoring loudly next to me. Would have been nice if he didn't snore, but I suppose this is faulting them for being too good at their jobs. Decor was tasteful, the service staff were polite and welcoming, and also supplied cinnamon tea for us. Felt there was a faint whiff of cigarette smoke in the air, but that is hard to get away from in Hanoi.

If you’re looking for a massage place in Hanoi, you should stop your search right now and come here. I can’t praise this place enough. We stayed in Vietnam for 7 days and tried many massage places after doing lots of research, but none of them satisfied us. We’ve never experienced a massage as good and professional as this one in our lives. The staff are kind, friendly, and give amazing massages. I had a massage from Hoi and I was amazed. As a family, we tried many places and all said we wished we had found this one earlier — unfortunately, we discovered it on our last day. I highly recommend the Zen massage, and I could honestly come back to Hanoi just for this massage. Thank you so, so, so much!
