Quan An Ngon - Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi

Very famous place, so we decided to give it a try since our hotel was just around the corner. It was already late evening and we didn’t feel like exploring too far 😄 When we arrived, there was a pretty long line and we were told it would take around 30 to 60 minutes to get a table. We waited about 40 minutes, which wasn’t too bad considering how busy the restaurant was. The place is huge and, of course, mainly full of tourists. The staff were actually pretty attentive and quick despite how crowded it was 👍 The food was just fine. The bun cha was decent, and my friend had some kind of chicken dish served with turmeric noodles, which was something new to try, but nothing particularly memorable in terms of taste 🍜 The drinks were also quite simple. Overall, I’d say it’s worth a one time visit if you’re staying nearby, but I wouldn’t necessarily come here specifically just for the restaurant 😊

We really loved this place. The menu has all types of Vietnamese food and everything we ordered was excellent — Phở gà, Bò nướng Quán Ăn Ngon and the Bánh xèo tôm thịt. A great experience for our 2nd day in Hanoi. A special mention to « A Do » our server, he was so kind and showed us how to eat the crepe which is not easy when you’ve never had it before. We will definitely come back!

We ordered Bánh Xèo Tôm Thit because we a pair had asked for it and it was delicious: really tasty and different flavour to everything we've tried before in Hanoi. Overall we want to thank Nhun to patiently explain us how to eat it. To all foreigners: Remind that if you pay with card, VAT is not included and the price will be higher. Nice to meet you, Nhun!

Visited here to try the drink recommended by my friend. I was surprised to see such a huge restaurant packed with so many people. I believe it’s a Michelin Guide restaurant. The drinks were very refreshing and delicious, and the vegetables and oysters tasted quite fresh as well. However, the service was disappointing. The staff seemed quite rude throughout the visit. The girl at the entrance even rolled her eyes when I said I didn’t have a reservation. It was also very difficult to get the staff’s attention for menus or to place our order. The food and drinks were enjoyable, but the service definitely affected the overall experience.

We had our first meal here during our visit to Hanoi during the holidays! For sure this was a good choice to start off our trip and indulging in Viet cuisine ✨ Definitely worth the Michelin star. Really awesome local dishes and service is quick and staff is polite. Also love the local vibes in the restaurant. Seems like quite busy, but we were lucky enough to get a table as soon as we stepped in! Worth the visit 🔝
