Food was good. Got the shaken beef and shrimp fresh rolls. Sophia had good service. Edit: Honestly I had to go back and edit my review as I felt pressured to write a 5 star review with the employee staring directly at me as I wrote the review. Initial impressions were clean restaurant, but completely empty. Strange for the middle of the old quarter during dinner time (5:30-6pm). The food was extremely mediocre, and very overpriced. The sign outside says it even caters to “western tastes” - a good indicator of a tourist trap. They wouldn’t substitute rice for the potatoes in the shaken beef dish. Being completely honest, there are way better and less expensive spots to eat in the old quarter within 100m. We were just hungry and desperate for something quick in the area. I would not return to this restaurant.
"Loving the Hospitality" I recently had such a wonderful experience at this place that I just had to share it. From the moment I walked up to the door, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff greeted me so warmly and guided me inside with a lot of care, which set a great tone for the whole meal. What I appreciated most was how they balanced being attentive with respecting my personal space. They gave me plenty of time to look over the menu without any pressure, always staying nearby with a friendly smile whenever I looked up. It’s rare to find a spot where the service feels this natural and kind. When the food arrived, I was honestly impressed because everything looked exactly like the photos on the menu. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell the juice was freshly squeezed and not from a carton. The whole place has a very cozy, eye catching layout, and the relaxing music in the background made it the perfect environment to just sit back and enjoy while run from the summer heat. The service was exceptionally good! The servers were the nicest, accommodating to every ask we had. The vegetarian (vegan) pho sadly lacked flavor so I found myself adding a lot of soy sauce, and the price is also relatively expensive but that’s what you have to pay to dine after 23:00 in the area I guess. Anyways solid option for late night dinner but won’t be my first choice during the day
My wife is a vegetarian and Tet Restaurant ended up being her favorite meal in Hanoi. The menu had plenty of great vegetarian options, all prepared thoughtfully and full of flavor. The ambience was welcoming and relaxing, making it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. The service was good and friendly, and we felt comfortable from start to finish. The value was excellent as well. The dollar goes a long way here, which made the experience even better. We thoroughly enjoyed Tet Restaurant and would highly recommend it, especially for anyone traveling with vegetarians.
