We had a wonderful stay at Victor Metropolis Lakeside Hotel. The location is excellent—close to everything we needed while still being peaceful and relaxing. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, it was a great experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!
The room was small but clean, everything worked, the service was excellent. They went out of their way to help us. They walked us to our car when the street was blocked off and the 2 girls helped me out where I'm gonna shop for a cheaper food souveniers. Skye the one in the receptionist os so accomodating too. The location is really great and just close to all the shops and market. The guy also who waled us to find the grab car is so kind, sadly I forgot his name. Everything the service is great.
I would strongly encourage management to review both guest service standards and internal practices at this hotel. While the location offers many good alternatives nearby, my experience here fell below expectations. The rooms are quite small, the air conditioning was insufficient, and the lobby was uncomfortably warm. Breakfast was also underwhelming and did not meet the standard expected at this price point. More concerning, however, is the way guest feedback appears to be handled. Guests are encouraged to leave 5-star reviews before checkout, which calls into question the reliability of the ratings presented online. The most disappointing part of my stay was the service. One staff member, who identified himself as Rice, did not offer any assistance upon Check out. Despite clearly seeing that I was struggling with multiple bags, he neither offered to help nor even opened the door. When I approached him and mentioned that I would be providing feedback, his demeanor became visibly unwelcoming. I am not raising this simply to complain, but to urge management to take corrective action. Basic hospitality—such as assisting guests with luggage and maintaining a welcoming attitude—should be standard. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve both staff training and overall guest experience.
Although my stay was short, it was a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, surrounded by shops, cafés and restaurants, and within easy walking distance of so many places to explore. It’s a perfect base for enjoying the energy and charm of Hanoi, both during the day and at night. After a busy day exploring the city, it was lovely to come back to a quiet room, sleep in a very comfortable bed, and enjoy a proper bath or a great shower. A special thank you to the staff for their kindness, attentiveness and genuine care throughout my stay. You made my short time in Hanoi even more enjoyable. And one last little surprise: figuring out how to use the shower… I certainly wasn’t expecting a control panel! 😊
The location of Victor Metropolis Hotel was indeed convenient. The reception staff was also very friendly and helpful. They were very well-mannered and would offer assistance whenever required. The hotel is around 9 storeys high, with a roof top bar at the 10th floor. The room is relatively small, especially the toilet, with a bathtub shower area (that can make it very slippery to go in and out for kids/older folks). Sufficient amenities (such as soap/tooth brush) etc were provided, but be prepared that the quality might not be the best. Also, do note that there isn’t a lot of socket plugs available for charging. You have to unplug either a bedside lamp or another appliances to charge your own device. Overall experience was alright for the price offered!
