Cau Go Vietnamese Cuisine - Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The deep fried spring rolls were perfectly crispy, the fresh pork and shrimp spring rolls tasted so fresh and light, the sautéed baby clams with rice crackers were packed with flavour, and the grilled beef block was cooked beautifully. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the braised pork ribs with pepper — incredibly tender, rich, and full of flavour. Easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in Vietnam. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want authentic and memorable food!

Fabulous. Of course the food was excellent. Sturgeon hot pot. But the servers (we had two) were truly exceptional. Truly. I tried once to pick up our wine bottle and they both bolted to our table. Watching sunset and the lights come up was especially nice. Far less expensive than Michelin in France. Highly recommend.

Visited this restaurant in Hanoi and overall had a great experience. It’s a bit tricky to find at first-it’s located across the road from the lake, but we couldn’t really identify a specific street entrance. There are actually entrances from both sides of the building, and the restaurant itself is inside, starting from around the 5th floor of a multi-level space. It felt like a place mostly visited by locals, which is always a good sign. The food was very tasty and served quickly. The menu is quite разнообразный, especially if you like soups. I had a sour tomato soup- absolutely loved it. My mom ordered another soup (looked Thai-style), but it turned out to be quite sweet due to a lot of sugar, so she couldn’t finish it. Just something to keep in mind- some soups here are on the sweeter side. The view of the lake is beautiful, especially from the terrace. However, there are only a few tables outside, so it’s better to book in advance- the place gets very busy and was fully booked when we went. Overall, a great spot with good food and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Came early in the afternoon to place a reservation for the night’s dinner (Valentine’s Day). Hostess An Tran was most enthusiastic and helpful in showing us around, explaining the menu and placing the reservation. Came for dinner about 1810hrs. Seating @ 7F; very good panoramic view of Hoan Kiem Lake (regrettably no sunset!) Ordered the Grilled Unicorn Leatherjacket Fish (790/kg); Grilled Black Chicken & Water Spinach w/beef. The grilled chicken was the star - well marinated, cooked to perfection and full of fragrant! The fish however was underwhelming- on the dry side and quite bland; not worth the pricy tag (D$948k)! Total bill: D$2mil+ Throughout the dinner, we were well served by Captain Dung - friendly, attentive & helpful. 👍🏼

Thu Ha was an excellent server. The food is presented beautifully and the flavors are excellent. The view of the lake from the restaurant makes it all even better. Great spot that we stopped in to hide from the rain. Highly recommend.
