The Haflington - Cocktail bar in Hanoi

Amazing spot. The drinks were seriously good, but the service was even better. Our server James made it fun to be there and really added to the whole experience. The whole crew was friendly, attentive, and made us feel taken care of the entire time. The atmosphere is cozy, classy, and perfect for a night out or cocktails with friends. The menu presentation and vibe were really unique too. Definitely one of the best cocktail bar experiences I’ve had. I’d come back again for sure

A true hidden gem in Hanoi. We absolutely loved the atmosphere at The Haflington — elegant decoration, candlelight, and a warm, intimate vibe. The staff was fantastic and made the experience even better. The cocktails are original and expertly made. One of those places you discover and immediately want to come back to.

Visited this bar on a Tuesday around 10 PM and waited around 10 minutes for a table. The atmosphere was really nice with soft background music and good vibes. The staff were friendly and kindly helped us change to seats at the bar counter. Most customers were foreigners with some locals as well. The entrance is quite hidden inside a small alley, then you need to walk up a few floors. The bar has 2 levels — the lower floor allows smoking, while the upper floor is non-smoking. The interior is beautifully decorated and perfect for a chill night out.

I love a 30s-style cocktail bar, so when I visited Hanoi and found out about the Haflington, I knew I had to visit. It didn't disappoint! I live in the UK, and the speakeasy concept has become a bit tired in London and Glasgow, but the Haflington made it feel exciting again.... it took us a little while to spot the entrance, where we pressed a bell for attention and a member of staff greeted us and took us down an alleyway, up external and internal staircases, and into the bar itself. It's beautifully decorated and full or curios, and the bar staff are all dressed in stylish 30s braces, shirts and trousers combos. We were seated a the main bar, which displays a stunning array of spirits and drinks. The cocktail menu is impressive, and combines interesting new concoctions alongside some of the classics. Coming from the UK, the price is very reasonable - we enjoyed four cocktails for around £35. Amazing! I had a sloe-gin based 'ping pong', a white negroni (a different take on the classic which I'll definitely try again', and a classic gin martini. The latter is my favourite cocktail and how I always judge every cocktail bar, and this one was top notch. A must try in Hanoi, and I'll definitely be back when I next visit. You might want to reserve at weekends as it is very popular.
