Trung Nguyên Legend Cafe - Coffee shop in Hanoi

I had the chance to try three different types of coffe here. I liked the almond coffee the most! ♥️ The ambience was nice, there are some books written by the company owner, which has English in it✨ 🤣💪 Most importantly, they have a washroom!

We started our morning at the iconic Trung Nguyên Legend Cafe, located right in the heart of Hanoi near the famous Hoàn Kiếm Lake area. Tucked along a busy street, the café felt surprisingly calm and peaceful, offering a cozy escape from the energetic atmosphere outside. Compared to the larger Trung Nguyên Legend outlet I visited previously in Ho Chi Minh City, this branch was smaller and more intimate, but still beautifully designed with a warm and relaxing ambiance. We ordered a coconut matcha and a traditional Vietnamese coffee, and both drinks were enjoyable and refreshing. The café was clean and comfortable, including the restroom facilities as well. The toilet seats were slightly heavy, but nothing too concerning. We chose to sit upstairs where it was much quieter and more relaxing. While enjoying our drinks, we spent some time transferring footage and files from our camera to our laptop — making it a nice little productivity session while soaking in the peaceful café atmosphere. Overall, it was a very pleasant spot to relax, recharge, and get some work done while experiencing Hanoi’s café culture.

One of the best places to experience authentic Vietnamese coffee in Hanoi. The coffee here is rich, bold, and served with a distinctive local touch. Definitely worth trying if you want to taste the real character of Vietnam’s coffee culture. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant, perfect for relaxing or having a casual meeting. A great spot to slow down, enjoy a cup of coffee, and soak in a more refined side of Hanoi.

​An absolute must-visit for coffee lovers! The presentation and quality here are top-notch. ​I highly recommend trying their Cà Phê Trứng (Vietnamese Egg Coffee). The egg foam is incredibly thick, creamy, and beautifully dusted with cocoa powder, balancing perfectly with the rich dark coffee below. I really appreciate that they serve it the traditional way—resting in a small bowl of hot water to keep the drink perfectly warm from the first sip to the last. ​We also got the traditional Phin drip coffee, which offers a classic, robust Vietnamese coffee experience. Everything is beautifully presented on wooden trays, complete with a glass of complimentary tea to cleanse your palate. The atmosphere is clean, relaxing, and shows great attention to detail. ​A fantastic spot to sit back and experience authentic Vietnamese coffee culture!

A great place to experience Vietnamese coffee in a comfortable and relaxing setting. My favorite is definitely the egg coffee — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with the strong coffee underneath. Not too sweet, very smooth, and beautifully presented. The café has a calm atmosphere, making it a nice spot to rest after exploring the city. Prices are slightly higher than local cafés, but the quality and experience make it worth it. Highly recommended if you want to try Vietnamese egg coffee in a well-known café.
