Le Chanvre Hanoi Hotel & Spa - Resort hotel in Hanoi

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. The staff was lovely - anyone who worked from 29/07-03/08 was very attentive and took time to check in and offer us support in finding things to do! The pool space was a bit small but refreshing. It was a bit crowded at times but the view was gorgeous! The hotel has a no smoking and no durian policy which doesn’t seem to be enforced. Our room smelled like durian and our hall of cigarettes but we didn’t say anything about it because we didn’t know this was a rule until the last day! I bet they would have done something to help us solve the problem but they also could have been dealing with it behind the scenes! Would recommend and would stay again!

The hotel was exceptionally clean. The air in the room felt fresh, and the air conditioning was set to a perfect temperature. The swimming pool was absolutely gorgeous as well! Since they knew we were celebrating a birthday, the staff specially arranged a wonderful birthday surprise for us. On top of that, they provided luggage delivery right to our room. And you can log in your YouTube or Netflix account on tv. A big thank you to the team for all their thoughtful arrangements!

Best hotel we've stayed at in many years. Perfect location, walk to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great pool with almost 360 degree city view, even a glimpse of Hoan Kiem Lake. Delicious breakfast with changing options each day. Super clean and impossibly quiet considering how central it is. We could not fault this hotel. It was our second stay, friends have stayed and enjoyed it also, we will stay here next time we return to the most beautiful Ha Noi.

I liked this hotel quite a lot and would stay again if staying in Old Town. It is very close to the lake and in the middle of a lot of tourist activity, shops, etc. it’s easy to walk to most sights within 20 minutes. The staff are fantastic and attentive. Rooms are soundproof to the outside but not the hallway and it can be noisy in the hall at times but usually very quiet until 7 am. I had one unfortunate night of drunken partiers at 2 am but that was an exception. My room was a decent size for Hanoi - perfect for one but maybe small for two unless you ask for a luggage rack (space for one suitcase and no drawers). I stayed on the eighth floor and had windows that looked over the rooftops and streets of Hanoi with good natural light. Breakfast offers many options and eggs cooked to order. Let them know in advance if you have dietary restrictions and they will make sure you are taken care of. The pool is small and cute and has a great view (closes at 6 pm) and the gym is very small but fine for one person at a time with minimal equipment needs. Just details to know but not dealbreakers for me. Spa rooms looked nice but I didn’t book a treatment.

Yes, the rooms are super nice (although a little cramped) and the food is good, but what really takes the prize as a 5-star experience is the unmatchable service. Every single person on the staff was helpful, kind and personal. That's what a boutique hotel is all about! I stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon and they made us feel extremely welcome. As an added bonus, the location is amazing and you can pretty much walk to most of Hanoi's highlights. We would definitely stay here again.
