Nectar Hideaway: Speakeasy Rooftop Cocktails Bar - Cocktail bar in Hanoi

Getting to this speakeasy is an adventure in its own right. Find the small sign along the main street, walk down the narrow corridor, and climb a series of stairs to reach the top. I sat at the alfresco area and had the Hanoi Opera House in my sight. The ambience was nice. Drinks wise, I ordered the Starry Night. Its gin based with a variety of herbs. It definitely looks pretty. However the taste wasnt impressive. I couldn't taste the individual ingredients and overall, it tasted like antibiotics I had when I was young. I'm not sure if other drinks tasted better. I left after one drink. But I must stress...the ambience is nice and so was the sight.

Splendid experience, nice view, amazing drinks, but it's tucked away so far in that walking up and down the stairs is and experience in and of itself. The choice of music is good, lots of well known songs, and a lot of other songs that fit the ambience

I wanted to love this place but the cocktails need a bit of improving since that is the specialty. The mint julep was great but the whiskey sour was missing egg whites so I hope they change that. Different classic cocktails should not look visually similar. The penicillin was good. The many stairs you climb are worth the view.

Great place snuck away so you need to find the street number and the alley and trip up the four flights to find this special nook! They have a sense of humor as they reassure you that you’ll “be fine” going up the narrow stairs. Cocktails were very good and innovative and we happened to overlook an EDM pop concert on the square below.

This little hidden bar is amazing. Their selection of masterful cocktails is truly so impressive. And you get to have a wonderful view of the opera house and surrounding streets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would love to return one day for a special experience.
