InterContinental Hanoi Westlake by IHG - Hotel in Hanoi

We had a lovely stay at the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake. The hotel is in a quiet area, about 20 minutes by Grab from the Old Quarter. The rooms were spacious, very clean and the beds were really comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was excellent. Bottled water and a coffee machine were provided in our room. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice every morning. The two teams that deserve special praise are the breakfast staff and the housekeeping team. They were friendly, hardworking and always had a smile on their faces. Our room was cleaned to a very high standard every day. There are just a couple of things the hotel could improve. Our second twin room didn’t have tea and coffee-making facilities, although our other room did. Also, after arriving following a 13–14-hour flight, it would have been nice to be offered a welcome drink while checking in. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel. Grab taxis are cheap and easy to use, and there are plenty of good places to eat within a 10–15 minute walk of the hotel.

My wife absolutely loved the property, it was her birthday and they went above and beyond to give us a great upgrade, the rooms were exceptional, the service was faultless, the views are amazing. The rooms are well appointed and you won’t lack for anything! I especially loved the balcony which was a big plus with such an incredible view of the west lake. My only regret was that I didn’t book this for a longer stay.

From the seamless pre-check-in arrangements handled flawlessly by Mr. Quang Pham to the thoughtful suite decorations, Illy decaf pods, and complimentary cake, every detail made the stay special. The expansive suite with dual balconies was a highlight. The balcony feels like a quiet pause above the city — a simple space that opens out toward Westlake, where the water catches the light in a way that makes you stop and breathe. It isn’t extravagant, but that’s what makes it special: the view is honest, the air is fresh, and it gives you a moment of calm that feels rare and genuine. Special acknowledgments go to: • Mr. Bao Anh (Duty Manager): Responsive and caring, resolving a jewelry mishap with professionalism. • Ms. Phuong Anh (Housekeeping Supervisor): Dedicated and inspiring, ensuring impeccable cleanliness. • Ms. Phuong Linh (Diplomat Lounge): Warm and attentive, delivering hospitality from the heart. • Café du Lac Breakfast Team: Seamlessly accommodating dietary needs and providing excellent service. Though I missed the Pizza and Pasta buffet on June 13, I was delighted to attend on June 11, where Mr. Bui Quang Thai and Ms. Thúy Lê delivered a flexible and delicious dining experience. Overall, the stay was exceptional, and I wish the InterContinental Westlake every success with its upcoming renovations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making this visit so memorable.

I’ve been to DULAC a few times now, and it’s definitely one of the places I’m happy to come back to. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service is always friendly. A special shout-out to Như, who was incredibly welcoming and attentive. She remembered us from our previous visit and made us feel very comfortable throughout the meal. She’s genuinely friendly without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely worth coming back to — great food, nice atmosphere, and lovely staff. I’ll be back again!

This was my second stay at this very well managed hotel. And I felt very well taken care of. Mr Quang, the Rooms Division Manager, took care of my request for an allergy free room and this was actually, the best sleep I had for the two weeks while I was staying at other InterContinental properties in Hanoi. Mr Quang was attentive to my emails and responded swiftly with more information and assurances. We arrived and checked-in to a room which seemed to be personally set-up for us. We felt very special.
